I’m really looking forward to this one. After reading “Dead Wake” by Erik Larson I’ve been on a World War I reading binge. Gallipoli was definitely one of the most pointless campaigns of the war and should have been halted after day one.
I haven’t loved any of Russell Crowe’s recent movies but hopefully this will get back to the greatness of Gladiator & Master and Commander.
Thanks for the feedback Greg, any other WW1 books to recommend? I’m currently in Waterloo mode but should be down from that hilltop by June.
